Communicate at Scale
Automate the calling and message-delivery process to communicate the same information to many customers without requiring an employee to conduct each call.
Buzzbox Automated Voice Messages
Simple, automated voice communication for high-volume customer outreach.
Buzzbox Automated Voice Messages provide a cost-effective way to communicate with large numbers of customers without requiring an agent to make every call.
Deliver a prerecorded voice message and, where required, allow the customer to respond using simple keypad selections such as Press 1 for Yes or Press 2 for No.
When you need to deliver a clear message or collect a simple response, AVMs provide an efficient alternative to individual agent calls.
Simple messages. Simple responses. Greater reach.
The simple version
An Automated Voice Message, or AVM, is an automatically placed telephone call that plays a prerecorded message when the customer answers.
Unlike conversational AI, the customer is not speaking to an intelligent voice agent and the system is not having an open conversation with them.
Instead, the message communicates predefined information and can give the customer simple options to respond using their telephone keypad.
For example: Press 1 to confirm. Press 2 if this does not apply to you.
It is straightforward voice automation designed for situations where a full two-way conversation is not necessary.
When less is more
Not every customer interaction needs an employee or an AI voice agent. Sometimes the objective is simply to communicate a message and, perhaps, receive a basic response.
Automate the calling and message-delivery process to communicate the same information to many customers without requiring an employee to conduct each call.
Choose a simpler and more economical approach when the objective is to deliver a straightforward message or collect a basic keypad response.
Deliver the same prerecorded message to every customer reached by the campaign, with wording determined before the campaign begins.
Simple interaction by design
Customers can respond using the keypad on their telephone. For example: Press 1 to confirm. Press 2 to decline.
Offer a small number of predefined choices, such as Press 1 for Option A or Press 2 for Option B, without requiring an open-ended conversation.
Customers answer a telephone call, listen to the message and make a selection using the keypad they already know.
Employees can spend their time on customer interactions that genuinely require a person, while routine messages are handled automatically.
One campaign, one message
AVMs are designed around a predefined campaign message. Customer-specific information is not dynamically injected into the AVM conversation, so the message should be appropriate for everyone included in the campaign.
For the right type of communication, an AVM may be all that is needed. The simpler the required interaction, the better suited it is to an Automated Voice Message.
Choose the right approach
Both technologies automate voice communication, but they solve different problems.
Best suited to straightforward, high-volume communication. The customer hears a predefined message and can respond using simple keypad selections where required.
Ideal when the message is simple and cost is a priority.
Designed for interactions where the customer needs to have an actual two-way conversation. The customer can speak naturally and the AI agent can understand and respond.
Ideal when the interaction requires a conversation rather than simply a message.
Use the communication method that matches the requirement rather than using a more complex solution for every customer interaction.
The practical benefits
Use a simpler and more economical form of automation when a full conversation is not required.
Deliver the same message across large customer populations without individual agent calls.
Communicate the same predefined message on every call.
Customers can listen and respond using familiar telephone keypad selections.
Collect straightforward confirmations or predefined choices.
Avoid using employee time to repeatedly deliver the same message.
The customer answers, listens to the message and follows the options provided.
Not every customer interaction needs the same level of technology. Some require a person. Some require an intelligent AI-powered conversation. And some simply require a message.
Buzzbox Automated Voice Messages provide a straightforward, cost-effective way to handle that third category without unnecessary complexity.
Simple communication. Automated at scale.
